Poem: Choose

I envision so much that I could learn
but without drive, ideas burn
Not confident that I'll get my turn
Never really had a proper chance to earn
I yearn to learn to turn this thing around
I yearn to learn to earn, it burns to the ground
For years now I have tried to focus every day
In foundations made of sand, the sea washes progress away
It's time to play to change the game
The range can't stay the same
I know they say it's strange that way
but they all hate weekdays
This state, I say this way's deranged
They wait for better days
Again, their cash just slips away
They don't use their change for Change
There's a reason it has that name
A clue staring in your face
You don't have to stay the same
Comfort Zones become Disgrace
But we can choose another gate
The only way to renew fate
Why just kill your time and wait
Invent your options, don't wait too late
Can't be letting your time slide away
Can't be giving your whole life away
Reflect what I'm about to say
Why would you throw your life away?
Children of earth facing a darker day
The fuel of fools who now indoctrinate
Groomers are crying "Don't discriminate"
The naive fight for love and stir up hate
The lower classes drown and suffocate
The water rises as prices inflate
Illegal fungi might just motivate
Ain't no understanding like a mystical embrace
I feel the water swimming round my waist
It feels like it's getting really late
Integrate life's lessons, they're not a waste
An abundance of these learnings change your fate
This poem was fresh from my neural meatwork the morning of Dec 7th 2020.
